About Us
We welcome you to the about us page. Our company is called Klips n Things CC and we design and manufacture the RoofWhirlys4Africa whirly vent range. We opened in 1996. Our premises are in the beautiful and tranquil KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in South Africa.
We are classified as a BEE level 4 company and value adding supplier in South Africa.
Our philosophy is to build and maintain exceptional long-term customer relationships. As a result, we often gain new customers based on references from our existing customers.
We have a solid customer base some of whom have been our customers since we opened in 1996. We make moulds and manufacture components that are critical for the production lines of international companies and we design and manufacture a range of our own products. In addition to selling our products directly and through dealers/installer in South Africa, we are a registered exporter and export to other countries in Africa and the rest of the world (including Europe and the USA).

We developed the RoofWhirlys4Africa whirly vent range as an extremely affordable way to improve the every day lives of people (and animals) living and working in all types of buildings (it is estimated that 8 out of 10 buildings in South Africa are not properly ventilated).
The team
Our team is experienced and includes a Registered Engineer. We work together on the designs of our affordable GREEN solutions. Furthermore our engineer guides and monitors the demanding tests that products go through before they are released into the market.
Design criteria
The design criteria for our GREEN lines are:-
- Quality and Affordability – We do not compromise on quality but we ensure our products are EXTREMELY WELL PRICED.
- Easy to install – Our products are easy to install for the DIY enthusiast. We aim to reduce the time and costs of installing our products.
- Maintenance free – Our products require little or no maintenance and are fully serviceable. Furthermore we supply readily available and inexpensive spares.
- Weatherproof – Our products withstand storms and driving rain with no risk of leaks.
- Strong and Durable – We use materials that wont rust or corrode, crack or chip. Furthermore we use materials that last for a long time in the sun (at least 10 years). We manufacture using materials that are strong, flexible and specified for the tough African weather conditions.
- Effective for very rural and urban settings alike – we focus on products that do not require electricity. Our products have minimal scrap value which is a key consideration because it reduces the risk of theft.
- Brilliantly simple designs – we design the products in Africa for Africa – our aim is for you to be able to fit and forget. We expect our products to run all day and night every day of the year because they are designed with components that have minimal risk of breakdowns.
