Choose the 500mm roof whirly roof mounted wind turbine ventilator (commonly referred to as a whirlybird or whirly gig).  The 500mm roof mounted wind turbine ventilator circulates air in buildings, extracting hot air and moisture and replacing with new fresh air.  This whirly vent provides excellent ventilation in warehouses, factories, barns, farm sheds, stable blocks, chicken houses, commercial kitchens and public buildings like libraries, large clinics and schools, churches etc.  Fuelled by nature – they only need the slightest of breezes or heat in the building (convection) to start working (turning).

These roof whirly vents have 2 superior quality completely silent sealed lubricated bearings.  This is especially relevant as these roof vents do not become noisy.  Furthermore there is no monthly maintenance cost and no requirement for electricity.  Our roof mounted wind turbine ventilators are manufactured from outstanding quality materials and will not rust or corrode, chip or dent.  These roof vents are very durable (at least 10 years in the sun) and are designed to be maintenance free.  Unlike the traditional metal version they have been designed to have little or no scrap value.  This limits the theft risk. The 500mm roof mounted wind turbine ventilator measures 555mm across the vanes.  The dimensions of the base plate supplied with the 500mm unit are 910mm x 615mm.
